Fayetteville Public Library
March 20, 1978
The Board of Directors of the Fayetteville Public Library met March
20 at 4:00 p.m. Members present were George Shelton, Martha Brewer,
Dottie Wood and Narnee Murphy.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read.
The librarian's report was read and approved (see attached).
Linda Foster reported that Mrs. Wright had taken Elizabeth Danley
and her to Fort Smith to see the Fort Smith Public Library and some
of the elementary schools for ideas on color and furnishings.
Mrs. Wright announced that the spring workshop for ORL branch
librarians will be April 14 and asked that as many of the Fayetteville
staff attend as is possible.
Representatives of the architectural firm presented the demoli-
tion/remodeling plan and a cost analysis. The hoard gave their consent
to begin on the working drawings. There was also a discussion on bid
procedure.
Mrs. Brewer gave the treasurer's report and mentioned some book-
keeping errors. She will meet with the bookkeeper before the next meeting
to clarify the inaccuracies.
