HomeMy WebLinkAbout1977-09-12 MinutesSeptember 12, 1977 The Board of Trustees of the Roberta Fulbright Library met at 14:00 on Sept. 12, 1977. Present were Dottie Wood, Narnee Murphy, and Martha Brewer. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as corrected. Linda Foster's monthly report was given and is attached. The treasurer's report was given and is attached. It was noted that Mr. Omohundvo did fix the area under the overhang where children play at a cost of $23.. Mrs. Murphy gave a report to Linda Foster about the cots of stamped envelopes. It was agreed that she would try these before investing in a postage meter. Mrs. Wright reported that the workshop before Labor Day was very worthwhile. A large number of long overdue books were returned. Mrs. Murphy is to check with the street department for signs to go in front of the building concerning "quick" parking and reserved for handicapped. She will also talk to them about ways to close off the space in front for no parking. There was a discussion about planting new trees in the front. It was agreed that we should plant at least two this fall. The secretary was instructed to write letters to the City Directors and the City Manager reminding them that they are to find a means of funding our expansion by the first of the year.
