that we have reached the mid -year report with no problems financially.
Mrs. Wright gave us the following report:
1) A money box for the reader -printer will cost $324.00. This
would free the librarians from getting the key and unlocking
it for each patron. This would comply with'the new copyright
law.
2) She suggested that the architect be given a copy of the American
National Standards for handicapped put out b the HEW.
The Boare instructed Mrs. Wright to bpy the money box and to give the standards to
Warren Seagraves.
Elizabeth Danley reported on a workshop she recently attended for children's librarians.
She was most enthusiastic and grateful for our sending her. Mrs. Foster noted that there
are 626 children in the summer reading program.
The Board then moved into a discussion of the proposed expansion. Dottie Wood reported
talking to Don Grimes. Mr. Grimes has found no money available. Also we have not
heard of any coming from the Fulbright Foundation. The Rockefeller Foundation has replied
that they do not give money for construction. George Shelton has agreed to talk to
Mr. Jim Gregory about the possibility of his help. There being no further business the
