The Board of Trustees of the Roberta Fulbright Public Library met at 4:00, May 9th. All
Members were present.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as corrected. Narnee Murphy
gave the monthly financial report which is attached. The possibility of a postage
meter was discussed. Mrs. Foster was instructed to look into the cost of buying or
renting one.

Mrs. Murphy moved that the salary of position #1 be raised to 310,000.00. Motion was
seconded and passed.
Mrs. Foster gave her monthly report which is attached.
Mrs. Wright brought several items to the attention of the board so that they would be
aware of legislative possibilities. They are:
1 The legislature passed a bill describing obscene literature
2 The minimum wage may go from 32.30 to 32.50 per hour.
3 There are now guidelines for buildings being used by the
handicapped.
4) As of January 1, 1978, there will be new copyright laws concerning
photocopying. After that date the customer must do the copying
himself.
The Board agreed that Mrs. Foster might find it helpful to hold regualr staff meetings.
Martha Brewer reported that she had weitten to Tom McRae of the Rockeffeller Foundation
asking if they have any available funds for libraries needing expansion.
The Board authorized Mrs. Foster to hire Elizabeth Danley, the Children's Librarian,
for full time work during the summer rather than part time. They also agreed to pay the
registration fee for her to attend a childrens workshop. The Board also instructed
her to deep track of the miles she uses her car for library work.
The meeting was closed at 5:00.
