HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-07-13 MinutesThe Board of Trustees of the Fayetteville Public Library met
on Monday, July 13 at 4:00 P.M. in the library. Attending: L. Rudolph,
D. Wood, N. Murphy, Grace Keith and Carol Wright.
Mrs. Keith reported:
1. The city will remove the tree in front of the library at
no cost.
2. Suggested a 3 day closing Labor Day for workshop and finishing
up summer activities. Motion made by Mrs. Wood, Mrs. Murphy
seconded.
3. The south library wall sways to the touch. Mrs. Wood will
contact Mr. Segraves.
Motion made by Mrs. Murphy, seconded by Mrs. Wood to notify
Donald Grimes not to rent property east of library after the present
tenants vacate.
Mrs. Mu phydiauss�d with Ed Huenefeld about the libary book-
keeping
keeping as ok resigned. The accounting fee is $17.00 per hour.
SWEPCO made a power survey because of air conditioning problems.
All wires were on one circuit. Rewiring was done and the library will
contact Mr. Shelton to begin service contract for maintainance. The
first year will include total guarantee other than fuses and filters.
Five pieces of York equipment were installed this year. The service
charge is: 1. $12.00 per hour, est. 3 hrs. to inspect
(done every 1-2 months)
2. Filters - $1.00 each
Carol Wright will present a feasability study of the possibilities
of expansion of the library at the next meeting. Mrs. Wright reported
that postcards are being used to notify people of overdue books. There
is a new branch library at West Fork.
