HomeMy WebLinkAbout1973-12-10 MinutesThe Board of Trustees of the Fayetteville Public Library met at 4 p.m.' on Monday, Dec. 10, 1973. All members were present. After the reading of the minutes, Mrs. Keith gave the monthly report of circulation, registration, and petty cash (attached). She also Noted: 1. a leak in the auditorium which had caused some damage to the flooring. 2. the receipt of a gift of $100.00 from James B. Blair to establish a memorial for Fred Starr. 3. the slightly profitable ($i.60) use of the new copying machine in the library. Mr. Shelton presented the semiannual treasurer's report (attached). Mr. Williams brought the tentative lease for the Ozark Regional Library. It was moved (Shelton/Wylie) that the lease be renewed for a period of three years, 28 Feb 74 to 2$ Feb 77. Passed. Mr. Williams also mentioned that he would discuss the parking situation with the city administration. Mrs. Murphy presented the monthly treasurer's report (attached) and suggested that the Board authorize the payment in December of the Standard and Poor account ($500.00), the Superintendent of Documents account ($300.00), and the purchase of a cabinet for visual aids ( ca. $400.00). A reader -printer needs to be considered later. She also reminded the Board that the salary budget must be approved no later than the next meeting of the Board in order to have the checks for the next month to reflect the action of the Board. Mr. Williams and Mr. Wylie reminded the Board that their terms had expired and that they would not accept reappointment, so the Board should suggest nominees for replacements. Adj: 5:00 p.m. E. L.
