Monday, May 14, 1973. In the absence of Tyr. Italians, Kr. Shelton
presided. City .:anag,r Grimes also attended.
After the reading 0i the minutes, Mrs. Keith reported that a new
memorial plaque was being made by David Albert at a cost of d15 plus
the cost of brass -plates, and then gave the April report of circulation,
registration, and petty cash (attached). At Mrs. Murphyts request,
Yrs. Keith agreed to investigate the cost of a stand and/or case
to house the memorial books.
Yrs. Murphy presented the April financial re -ort (attached) and noted
that 406 bil.':_ed by the city for labor on the lights was not a
legitimate expense and viould not be paid. At ''yrs. ;right's suggestion,
leis. Hu.phy asked and recieved the Boards approval of the pu=rchase
a microfilm re-ler adequate for an entire newspaper page for ;;; 395.00
and for a map case with filing cabinet for 0 233.85 plus freight.
Mr. Wylie noted that the magnolia he had feared dead had come to life.
Mr. Grimes asked that the Board be patient about the topsoil and
asphalting of the curb.
