HomeMy WebLinkAbout1973-01-15 MinutesThe Board of the Fayetteville Public Library met at 4 p.m. on January 15, 1973. After the reading of the minutes of the meeting Nov. 15, 1972, Mrs. Keith presented the November and December reports of registration, circulation, and petty cash (attached). She also noted that the Fayetteville Fire Department no longer services fire extinguishers and that such service would be obtained from other sources. Mrs. Wright suggested that it might be useful to survey the levels , of usage by:tudents; she noted that the annual circulation had increased almost 4000 volumes in 1972 and that the current book stock exceeded 20,000 books owned by the library and 32,000 on loan from the Ozark Regional Library. Mr. Alliams informed the Board that it might anticipate an allocation of $ 40,2$0 from the city, including the $7000 balance from the Carney property, with an operating budget of $ 33,2S0 net. Mrs. Murphy gave the November and December financial reports (attached) in which she noted lower utilities, use in November and the arrival of the display case, the repair of the air-conditioning towers, and the elevator inspection --now twice annually --in December. She then gave the annual financial repott (attached). A Mrs. Murphy finally proposed the attached salary budget, which was discussed and approved by motion of the Board (RudolphAiley). Adj: 5:05 p.m.
