1971, at 4 p.m. with all members except Mr. Shelton present.
After the reading of the minutes, Mr. Williams reported that the turf would
be watdhed by the police although the weather would be a urotection soon;

Mr. Williams noted that the Read house bequeathed to the library would
have a ceeml title after probate on December 15 and suggested that sealed
bids be taken. He also noted that he had a letter from Col. Lawrence
Browne offering the appraised value. ( Confirmed and cleared up by the
secretary.)
Mrs. Keith gave the circulation, petty cash, and registration report
(attached). She requested that the Board take note of a crack in the
south window which allowed the ingress of birds, now temporarily taped
by Mr. Omohundro. IuIr. Williams agreed to ask the Ozark WindovCo. to
repair the window and Mr. Omohui,dro to caulk the leak at floor level.
Mrs. Murphy cheerfully gave a catastrophic projection for a depressing
December (attached) along with exploratory comments on limitation of
book orders and other emergency measures involving the general budget.
