Tuesday, Sept. 7, 1971, with Mr. Valliams, Mr. Shelton, Mr. Wlie,
Mr. Rudolph, Mrs. Murphy, and Mrs. Keith present.
The minutes were read and approved.
Mr. Williams noted that Anchor had fixed the curbing in the parking lot.
Mrs. Keith presented the monthly cireitlation report and the petty
cash report (attached)# and noted:
1. a successful summer readingprogram with -)687 children
reading more than thirty thousand books.
2. a :re -school story hour planned for four weeks.
3. Mrs. Wright has Waked the FPI, to move 20-30 bookshelves
upstairs as soon as possible. Query about price freeze and
new shelves.
4. a bicycle rack is needed. Mrs. Murphy will investigate.
5. two new staff members have been employed, Mrs.L 4.6 Tagner
to replace Michaela Beard, and Mrs. Don Trumbo half-time.
Mr. TAI liams noted the problem of co-operation between the FPL
and the ORL needed to be clarified in connection with a budget
overrun in the empliment of a new staff member.
After the customary summary of woes involving lights, air-
conditioning pumps, and HCL, with the interpolation of 1i query
about book orders, the Board adjou=ed at 5:15 p.m.
