HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-03-08 MinutesThe Board of the Fayetteville Public Library met on Monday, March S, 1971, in the auditorium with all members present. The minutes were approved as read. Mr. Williams presented the Anchor Construction Company's bid for paving the parking lot and making adequate repairs to the drains in the SE cornier: $ 3282.25. The city manager agreed to share this expense to the extent of $ 1200 in material, labor, and machinery. The board voted to accept the city's offer to take over the project. The perrennial problem of curbside parking was tabled pending the paving of the parking lot. The lighting of the parking lot was considered: since Mr. Christie of Arkansas Western Gas had offered to donate the lights, the board accepted his offer and voted to survey the locations after adjournment. A Mrs. Keith presented her monthly report of circulation, registration, and petty cash (attached). Mrs. Wright reported that a library workshop, one of six to be held in Arkansas, would take place in Fort Smith on April 5. Mrs. Murphy gave the financial report (attached). 4:30 pm. At Mr. Williams suggestion the Board adjourned to decide of the location of the gas lights and to view the sewer repairs which were estimated at $400.
