Minutes of May 12,1969
The Board of Trustees of the Fayetteville'Public Librsry held
its regular monthly meeting on May 12 at 4:00 p.m. inith.e
board's meeting room.
Present:Bosrd members:Mr.Webb
Wylie,O.W.McMillen;
Librarians:Mrs.Carol
Williams,Mrs.Lowell Chaney,Mr.Ted
Wright,Mrs.Grace Keith.
The minutes of February 10,February 17,February 24,March 4,and
a statement concerning the meeting with the City Board of 4
Managers were read and approved.The latter was held. oxarch 17.
It was voted to agree to Mr.Omohundrols proposal to remove the
house on the lot just east of the library for"$150 and what I
can get out of the house". The secretary was instructed to
write a letter authorizing him to proceed at once.
Mrs.Wright reported that Mrs3Schader had stated that as far as
the Library Commission is concerned the federal funds for the
extension of the library are encumbered for us.
It is noted that we corrected some figures in our application
for the federal funds referred to above. This° was done at the
suggestion of MisSSchader.
Mrs.Keith reported that Mr.Omohundro had placed hooks in the
walls of the meeting room in accordance with the action recorded.
in the minutes of April 15.
Mrs.Keith also reported that the air conditional unit was not
in good working order. The matter will be taken care of.
It was voted to place a sign on the first parking space in front
of the library for handicapped persons and to request the city to
prepare a suitable sign.
