Minutes of May 8,1967
The Board of Trustees of the Fayetteville Public Library held its regular
monthly meeting on May 8,1967 at 4:00 p.m.in the board room.
Present:Board members:Mrs.Lowell Chaney,Mr.Ted Wylie,Mr.Ellis Shelton,
O*W*McMillens
Librarians:Mrs.Hazel Deal,Mrs.Grace Keith.
The minutes of April 10 were read and approved.
The report of the treasurer showed a balance of $4,141.70 for April and
the sum of 0572.24 in the rental fund.
The report of the librarian showed a grand total circulation of 11,723
for the month of April and a total registration of 115.
It was agreed to have a plaque installed in the foyer of the main floor,
recognizing the gift to the library of the property east of our building.
Mr.Shelton and Mrs.Chaney consented to attend to details of the matter.
It will be placed beneath the plaque now in the foyer,which gived certain
details concerning the construction of the building,the or' final gift.for
the site,and other items,.and it will be of the same material and style.
The plaque will read'as follows:
