Fayetteville Public Library Board
Minutes of November 14,1966
The Board of Trustees of the Fayetteville Public Library held its
regular monthly meeting on November 14,1966 at 4:00 p.m.in the
board room.
Present:Board members:Mr.Webb Williams,Mrs.Lowell Chaney,Mr.Ted
Wylie,O.W.McMilleni
Librarians:Mrs.Grace Keith.
The minutes of October 10,1966 were read and approved.
Mrs.Chaney presented the treasurer's report for the month of Octo-
ber.The balance at the end of that month was $8,933.66.
Mrs.Chaney also presented a tentative budget for 1967,which had.
been presented to the City so that the City Managers could place
the library item in their budget. No additional funds are being
requested from the City.The amount requested is $18,000.
The matter of care for the library floors was introduced and the
possible suitability of the use of Johnsons Permacare.Mr.Wylie
agreed to consult Mr.Tally of the University Physical Plant con-
cerning his experience in the use of this product and report back
to Mrs.Chaney for final deeision.to proceed. The cost is $161.30.
The report of the librarian showed a grand total circulation of
10,590 for October and 156 registrations:119 adult,37 ,juvenile.
It was agreed to have the Freedom Shrine,gift from the Exchange
Club,installed at least .for the present in the north end of the
foyer on the ground. floor.
The board adjourned at 5:10 p.m.
