Minutes of May 9,1966
The Board of Trustees of the Fayetteville Public Library held its
regular monthly meeting at 4:00 p.m. on May 9,1966 in the board.
room.
Present:Board members:Mr.Webb Williams,Mrs.Lowell Chaney,Mr.Ellis
Shelton,Mr.Ted 'Nylie,O.W.McMillen;
Librarians:Mrs..Hazel Deal,Mrs.Grace Keith.
The minutes of April 11,1966 were read and approved.
The report of the treasurer,presented by Mrs.Chaney,showed a balance
of 04397.15 on May 1,1966.
The report of the librarian,presented by Mrs.Deal,showed a grand
total circulation for April of 12,196,of which 7,494 was adult
material and 4,702 juvenile.Total registration was 177:adult 66,
juvenile 88. The book stock report for the first quarter of this
was 17,078 and on loan from the Ozarks Regional Library 14,257,a
total of 31,335.
The secretary reported that the owner of the property east of the
libr#ry planned to repair the house and $p&iggcttMimself.It was
agreed that Mr.Shelton would consult the,,pur Miaser-donor of this
property in order to see what the possibilities might be to acquire
it even yet.
Mrs.Chaney read a letter from`the Springdale Public Library,thanking
us for flowers sent on the occasion of the dedication of their new
building.
The board adjourned at 4:45 p.m.
