Minutes of October 11,1965
The Board of
Trustees
of
the
Fayetteville Public Library
met
in reg-
ular monthly
session
at 4:00
p.m. on October 11,1965 in
the
board room.
Present:Board memberssMr.Ted Wylie,Mr.Ellis Shelton,O.W.MeMillen;
Librarians: Mrs.Hazel Deal,Mrs.Grace Keith.
In the absence of the chairman the secretary presided.
The minutes of September 13 were read and approved.
The report of the treasurer showed a balance of $4042.30 at the end
of September.
The report of the librarian showed a grand total circulation of 10,161
for September and a total of 188 registrations;132 adult and 56 juven-
ile.It also showed a total book stock of 30,188,of which 13,534 are on
loan from Ozarks Regional Library and 16,654 local.
The following facts concerning the summer reading program are reeorded4
Books read:
21,043 fiction
7,_907 non-fiction
28,950 total
Children registered 535
Registrants completing the series and receiving certificates 288
Average attendance at the story hour,a part of the program, 75
It was voted to pay for Mrs.Keith's expenses to the state library
meeting.
The board adjourned at 4:30 p.m.
