Minutes of January 11,1965
The Board of Trustees of the Fayetteville Public Library held its
regular monthly meeting on January 11,1965 in the board room
at 4:00 p.m.
Present:Board members:Webb Williams,Mrs.Lowell Chaney,Mr.Ted Wylie,
O.W.McMillen;
Librarians:Mrs.Hazel Deal,Mrs.Grace Keith.
The minutes of December 14,1964 were read,corrected,and approved.
Record is made of an additional gift of a typewriter table from the .zd
Women's Civic Club. Record is also made of a gift from the Columbia Reeei
Company of recordings with excerpts from classical music and an enojrcl04
pedia of music.
The report of the librarian showed a circulation for December of a
grand total of 10,077 and 111 registrations.The annual report showed a
grand total circulation of 1510197 with'a monthly average of 120598 rw
and 1,588 registrations.The total book stock at the end of the year It I
was 15,647,whieh represents a net gain of 1,228. With books an lean from,
the.County Library the total number of books on the shelves for use was
27,570.
The report of the treasurer showed a balance of $2,851.11 at the end of
December and of $10351.11 at the end of 1964 with $1,500 in the contin-
gency fund.
The Board adjourned at 5:00 p.m.
