FAYETTEVILLE PUBLIC LIBRARY
IvSNT ES FOR JAN . 23 , 1961 -
The Board of Trustees of the Fayetteville Library met in regular
session in the Director's room Jan. 23, 1964 at 4000 P. I'T. Those
present were 141r. Webb Williams, Mr. Ted Wylie, Mr. 0. W. McMillen,
Mrs. Lowell Chaney, IIrs. Hazel Deal and Mfrs. J. I. Keith.
A plan for additional shelving and changes in the children's area
was presented by the committee of Mrs. Deal, Mrs. Keith and I�r. Wylie.
PTrs. Chaney moved that the construction and. practical completion
of the children's area as proposed by the committee at as price of
1845m50 be approved. 'Mr. Mllc�cnllen seconded the motion and it passed.
The City, Council Approved the budget of $17,600.00 presented by the
Library Board. _Hrs. Deal reported that Fayetteville's share of the
County field budget would be $6150.001 an increase over last year
of $4,50.00. The tentative budget presented by the financial cornjnlittee
in January was adopted as stands.

set as a regular meeting date
for
future
board meetings.
fir. I`allen called the Board's attention to the fact that the property
joining the Library on the east side is for sale to the Library only
for the sum of $17,500.00. ?fie suggested that ever, effort be made
to acquire this property for future expansion of the Library.
Meeting adjourned at 6:15 -m.
