Tinutes were read Sand approved.
cs. Chaney made a. motion, seconded by Imo. .•!cN?illen, -that the vacuum
cleaner taken out on approval be purchased. Motiowca.rr i ed,
Mrs. Deal told of the resignation of c. Bradshaw and asked the Board to
appeove the employment of 14r. Omahondra as ,janitor for the sum of $150.00
per month. The board approved with thanks.
After a lengthy discussion concerning the United Fund, 1,1r. Shelton moved
that we withdraw for one year. Motin seconded by 'v'lr. Tdylie and passed.
The Secretary was asked to ratite a letter to the President informing
'_nim of this action. Since the law requires that 20;° of the Library
budget be used to purchase books in order to receive State aid it was
agreed that every effort br made to raise the money elsewhere. It is
hoped the establishment of a Book Fnndovfrient Fund will help in part to
off set the funds received from the United Fund.
'Er. Shelton moved that the Floater insurance policy on books be cancelled.
