MINUTES FOR AUGUST 3, 1962
The Board of the Fayetteville Library met in the Directors room of the
Library August 3, 1962 at 4• P. M. Present were Mr. Webb Williams, Mr.
Ted Wylie, IVIr. Ellis Shelton , Mr. 0. W. McMillen, Mrs. Lowell Chaney,
Mrs. Hazel Deal and Dr. Robert Clack,
Dr. Clack discussed problems of landscaping the Library grounds with the
Board. He agreed to assist in working out an over all plan to be approved
by the Board.
Mr. Wylie presented an offer by Mr. Burch to prune the trees for $100.00
and to furnish gravel and top soil for the planter, for the sum of $14.0.00.
The Board suggested a further investigation be made of the workmanship of
Mr. Burch before acceping this offer.
Before making the final payment on the building it was agreed that the
following adjustments be made:
1. Kitchen unit not working properly.
2. Windows in the kitchenette in the auditorium leaking
3. Right side of front door drags.
4. Water stands in front of door after rains.
5. Mat inside of front door in need of repair.
It was agreed that a coat rack be purchased for the lobby and a small
table for magtazines. Mr. Williams offered to consult Nr. January con_
cerning the floor waxer and buffer before purchasing one.
