MINUTES FOR JUNE 129 1962
The Library Board met June 12, 1962 at 4:OOp. m. in the Directors
room of the
new Library.
Present were Mr. Webb
Williams, Mr.
Ted
Wylie, Mr.
Ellis Shelton,
Mrs. Lowell Chaney.
Others present
were
Mrs. Hazel Deal And Mr. Warren Segraves.
Regulations for use of the auditorium were discussed but no definite
plans were formulated. It was suggested that the Directors room could
be used for small groups without charge and that the auditorium might
also be used during the hours the Library is open without charge.
Board members were of the opinion it would be necessary to charge a
fee if the auditorium is used at night to cover utilities and janitor
service.
The Children's unusual interest in the Reflection pool has become such
that it seems advisable to redesign it as a planter for shrubery.
The architect and Board agreed this would not detract from the appear_
ance of the building.
Since the circulation of books has more than doubled in the first week
the Library has been open it was decided to as?\the United Fund for
$2000.00 again this year to supplement the book budget.
