The building on Dickson Street houses both the city and county libraries. Dr. E. B. Meriwether making the principal address dedicated the facilities to "wisdom, knowledge and understanding". U. S. Senator J.V. Fulbright spoke briefly expressing appreciatoin to the community and those respon- sible. Mayor Guy E. ,�rotirn welcomed visitors and guests. Invocation was by the Rev. Marious Lindloff and benediction by Rev. J. W. Rainwater. Webb Williams introduced special guests and speakers. Visitors inspected the building and facilities from 2;30 until 5800 o°clock. Eleven persons signed the register who had signed a similar register when the Library held open house after the establishment in 1916. Those in- cluded Miss Florida Reed Mrs. G. A.
