MINUTES FOR MAY 8, 1962
The Fayetteville Library Board met May 8, 1962 at 4:00p. m. at the City
Library. Present were Mr. Webb Williams, Mr. 0. E. McMillen, Mr. Ellis
Shelton, Mrs. Lowell Chaney, Mrs. Hazel Deal And Mr. Warren Segraves.
Purpose of the meeting was to sign a contract with the Arkansas Western
Gas Co. for gas service for the Roberta Fulbright Public zlibrary. Mr.
Shelton moved that the contract be signed by Mr. Williams. Mr. McMillen
seconded the motion and it carried.
The board decided to send printed invitations to out of town guests for
R
the Dedication and Open Mouse of the new Building. Board members will
entertain special guests at a Sunday dinner at the Mt. Inn Hotel,
Mr. Shelton volunteered to make necessary arrangements for the dinner.
Board members agreed that Mr. Marvin Miller be asked to make the dedication
speech. Mrs. Chaney suggested that wives of the Board members assist at
the opening and thtt Mrs. Segraves, Mrs. Brennan And Mrs. Boyd be included.
It was also suggested that Mrs. Vincenheller And Miss Florida Reed be asked
to be in charge of the guest book.
Meeting adjourned at 5:30.
