HomeMy WebLinkAbout1962-02-27 MinutesFAYETTEVILLE PUBLIC LIBRARY MINUTES FOR FEB. 279 1962 The Fayetteville Library Board met February 27, 1962 at 4:00 p.m. at the Library. All members were present. Also present were Mrs. Hazel Deal, Mr. Warren Segraves and Mr. Grover Thomas, Chairman of the Library Committee of the City Council. Mr. Segraves reported that the new building should be completed by the middle of April and he would ask that the furniture be shipped the first of April. He further stated that the sewer line was now completed and our part of the expense would be $566.95. A The Red Ball Transfer Co. submitted a tentative estimate of $245.00 for moving the Library. Mrs. Deal recommended that this estimate be accepted and in addition that an extra man be employed for lifting and moving boxes of books. Dr. McMillen moved and Mr. Shelton seconded the motion that this recommendation be accepted. Motion carried. The Board members discussed the sale of old equipment. Office chairs were examined and it was decided to reupholster and repaint two of them to be used in the new library. Meeting adjourned at 5:30. Re.pectfully submitted, 61 Edith E. Chaney, Secy
