FAYETTEVILLE PUBLIC .LIBRARY
MINUTES
The library board met in regular session at 7 o'clock
June 17th in the library rooms with Mr. McWhorter presiding.
Those present were Mr. McWhorter, Mr. Greenhaw, Mr.
Rudolph, Mr. Williams, Mrs. Deal, Mrs. Watson and Mrs. Chaney.
The Treasurer's report showed a balance of $1022.10 on
hand.
Mrs. Deal Reported an increase in circulation and the
addition of 717 new readers.
The board discussed offering the numerous bound periodi-
cals owned by the library to some institution that might find
use for them.
The subject of a location for a library building was
reopened. Mr. McWhorter agreed to contact Dr. Caylor and
a representative of the Christian Church for discussion of
the former Kane property on Dickson S..treet.
A motion by Mr. Rudolph that Mr. McMillam write a letter
of appreciation to Mr. Jerome McRoy for the booklists he
donated to the children's reading program carried unanimously.
