December 10,1957
The Fayetteville Public Library Board met in regular session at 7:00 p.m. on
December 10,1957 in the library rooms. Mr.McWhorter presided.
The following were present:Mr.Mcldhorter,Mrs.Deal,Mrs.Chaney,Mrs,idatson,
Mr.Williams, and 111r.McMillen.
The minutes of September 10 and September 30 were read and approved.
Mr.McWhorter reported that he had submitted the pencil chart for library plans
drawn by Mrs.Deal to Mr.Paul Young and also to Mr.Bryce Davis. The estimated cost
of a library according to these plans will be about $200,000. Ns.McVJhorter also
agreed to consult Mr.Shelton `'wing.
The report of the treasurer showed a balance of $759.60.
The report of the librarian showed a circulation for the past three months as
follows : September, 5198; October, 6453; November, 7697.
Mrs.Deal reported that close to 43000 people attended the Book Fair and that on
an average some 125 adults attended each day for the four days the fair was held.
