The Fayetteville Public Library Board met at 7100 p.m. on
March 12,1957 in the library rooms. Mr.MeWhorter presided.
The following were present:Mr.McWhorter,Mrs.Deal,Mrs.Chaney,Mr.Qreen-
haw,Mr.Wiley,Mr.Rudolph,and Mr.MeMillen.
The minutes for the two meetings held on January 15 were read and
approved.
The report of the treasurer showed a balance on hand of $1505.57
at the end of February.
Mrs.Deal reported that the circulation of books for January was 7092
and for February 6459. She further reported that as a result of an adult
book fair much interest manifested itself in requests for books.
Mr.MeWhorter reported that the Kane property could now be had from
the new owner for $10,500.
It was agreed that Mr.MeWhorter would see Mr.Whitfield about the
possibility of acquiring the property of the City Lumber Company.
