The Favetteville Public Librarlr ''oard met on October 9,1956 at 7:00 p.m.

The rainutes for the past three meetings were read. €end approved.
The report of the treasurer showed a balance of ��jj1112.80 in the First
'National Bank.
The report of the librarian showed a. total circulation of 5,091 for
the month of September.
Wl'rs.Deal reported that an open house for 4unior Nigh School students
was planned for November with the cooperation of lAr.Raney in permitting the
students to come to the library from 9:00 a.m. to 3:44 p.m. on Tuesday,Wed-
nesday,or Thursday. Some 750 students will be in attendance. It was under-
stood that the Board Trould underwrite the expense.
Reports concerning the Stone and Kane lots presented. by ?�7r.lAct'lhorter and.
Mr.Rudolph indicated that the situation had not materially chenged.It was not
possible for M".Kane to give us a sixty day option. It i"ra.s further indiea_ter.7
,that Mr.Cowa.n of the Christian Church stated that an exchange of s nortion
of the two lots might be advantageous to them.
It was voted to give surplus library tables to the 97irl Scouts.
