January 13,1953
The Fayetteville Public Library Board met on Januar7-13,1953 in the
Library rooms at 7:00 p.m. Mr.McWhorter presided.
Members present were Mr.MeWhorter,Mrs.Chaney,Mrs.Adkisson,Mr.Rudolph,
Mr.Wilson,Mr.Greenhaw,and Mr.McMillen.Mrs.Deal met with the Board.
The minutes of November 11,1952 were read and approved.
The report of the Treasurer showed a balance of $2854.98 in the
First National Banka
The report of the Librarian showed a total circulation of 4990 for
the month of December.The total circulation for the some month in 1951
was 4528,
It was voted to increase the salary of Mrs.Paulsrud at least $10.00
at the present time.

Minutes of the Annual Meeting
January 13,1953
The annual meeting of the Fayetteville Public Library Association
was held on January 13,1953 in the Library rooms.The President,Tllr.McWhor-
ter presided.
The minutes of the annual meeting of 1952 were read and approved.
The annual report of the Treasurer,Mrs.Chaney,showed a balance
of $2854.98 in the First National Banka balance of $496.04 in the
savings account at the McIlroy Bank,6 U.S.savings bonds,series G at
a face value of $1400,and one U,&:savings bond of $25 maturity value.
The report of the Auditor,Mr.E.A.Cowan,verifying the Treasurer's
accounts for the year 1952,is filed with these minutes.
The report of the Librarian,Mrs.Deal,d ealt in an interesting,•
effective,and encouragingth the circulation for the year,the number
of books now in the Library,the increase in the reference service,the
summer reading program.the improvement of records,ete.The report is to
be filed with these minutes.
The

regular three-year terms:

Organizational
The Fayetteville Public Library Board held an organizational meet-
ing on January 13,1953 afteg the adjournment of the meeting of the
Fayetteville Public Library Association. Mr.McWhorter called the meeting
to order.
Members present were Mr.MeWhorter,Mrs.Chaney.,Mrs.Adkisson,Mr.Rudolph,
Mr.Wilson,Mr.Greenhaw,and Mr.McMillen.Mrs.Deal was also present.
