January 15,1952
The Fayetteville Public Library Board ]net on January 15,1952 at
7:00 p.m. in the library rooms,with Mr.MeWhorter in the chair.
Members present were Mr.McWhorter,Miss Vaulx,Mrs.Watson,Mrs.Chanes,
Mr.Rudolph,Mr.areenhaw,Mr.Wilson,Mr.Blossom,and Mr.McMillen.Mrs.Deal
also_met with the Board.
The minutes of December 11,1951 were read and approved.
The Treasurers report showed a balance $2329.44 in the First Na.
tional Bank.
The Librarian's report showed a total circulation of 4528 for
December.A great increase in the circulation of recordings was also
reported:135 in December,making a total of 425 to date.

Minutes of the Annual Meeting
January 15,1952
The annual meeting of the Fayetteville Public Library Association
was held on January 15,1952 in the library rooms.The President,
Mr.Walter McWhorter,presided.
The minutes of the annual meeting of January 18,1951 were read
and approved.
The annual report of the Treasurer showed that the Library had the
sum of $4245.58 in t&tal assets.The Treasurer,Mrs.Chaney,presented the
report of the auditor,Mr.E.A.Cowan.The report is filed with these minutes.
The annual report of the Librarian,Mrs.Deal,is filed with these min-
utes and had been presented at an earlier date in order that a copy
might be presented to the Community Chest Board.An dditional report was
presented which showed a total circulation for the year of 509504,of
which 24,304 were books for adults and 260200 were for children.Total
registrations were 1,223 for the year,of which 776 were adult and 447
were children.
Mr.Putman spoke to the idea of the correct placing of the United
States flag in the library rooms.On motion a committee considting of
Mr.Greenhaw,Mr.Putman,and Mrs.Deal was appointed to set up the flag in
the most suitable and proper place.
The following persons were elected members of the Library Board for
three year terms:

Organizational
J a n u a r y 15,1952
The Fayetteville Public Library Board held an organizational
meeting ori January 15,1952 after the adjourning of the meeting of the
Association. Mr.MeWhorter presided.
Members present were Mr.MeWhorter,Miss Vaulx,Mrs.Watson,Mrs.Chaney,
Mr.Rudolph,Mr.Greenhaw,Mr,Wilson,Mr.Blossom,s.nd Mr.MeMillen.Mrs.Deal
was also present.
It was moved and seconded that the officers of the past year be
reeleeted.The motion was presented by Mr.Zlossom and carried. The
officers are as follows:
