A regular meeting of the Fayetteville Historic District Commission was held on January
10, 2008 at 5:30 p.m. in Room 111 of the City Administration Building, 113 W.
Mountain, Fayetteville, Arkansas.

CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by Chair Goodstein-Murphree at
5:35 p.m.
I. Announcements
A. Kristina Jones, Long Range Planning Technician, announced that Karen
and Justin Minkel had a baby girl in on January 3.
B. Jones announced that the CLG quarterly meeting would be happening in
Rogers on January 31- February 1 and welcomed all to attend.
C. Jones reminded the commissioners to hand in their mark-ups for the
Dickson Design Standards and that she would have their compiled
comments returned by January 28.
II. Approval of the Minutes
MOTION to approve the minutes of December 13, 2007: Leslie Belden
SECOND: Cheri Coley
VOTE: The vote was unanimous to approve the minutes from the December
13, 2007 meeting, 6-0-0.
Old Business
III. Reading of the White Hangar Approval Reports from the Planning
Commission and the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program.
A. Jones read the approval letters as required per state ordinance in the
establishment of an historic district.
IV. Public Hearing: White Hangar Local Ordinance District.
A. Chair Goodstein-Murphree opened the public hearing portion of the
meeting. Cindy Kalke spoke in support of the L.O.D. The public portion
of the meeting was then closed.
V. Discussion of White Hangar Local Ordinance District.
A. Commissioners and Staff discussed the establishment of the White Hangar
Local Ordinance District and the process for developing design guidelines
if approved.

Motion•
Commissioner Chadick made a motion to authorize the creation of the White Hangar
Local Ordinance District and forward it to City Council for approval as the City's first
Local Ordinance District. Commissioner Belden seconded the motion. Upon roll call
the motion passed with a vote of 6-0-0.
