Call to Order Don Steinkraus Members Present: Steinkraus, Thomas, Madison, Launder, and LeVois. Members Absent: Lipinski and Patterson. 2. Approval of Minutes Don Steinkraus UFAB Motion: Madison motioned to accept the minutes with one correction, Launder seconded the motion. Motion passed by voice vote, 5-0-0. 3. Native or Invasive Plant Presentation Glenda Patterson Patterson gave a presentation on Invasive plants. She discussed the following: • Chinese Privet o History of plant o Threat to native plants and its aggressive nature. o Toxicity o Reproduction o Flowers o Proper removal of plants Thomas volunteered to present in December. 4. Brief Updates from Staff Staff Linn thanked the board for their recommendation to City Council for the approval of the invasive species ordinance that passed on November 3rd. Scott read aloud a list of eighteen species that are now considered invasive according to city code. These plants will no longer be installed in future landscape plans. Mailing Address: 113 W. He is also working on updating the Tree City status.. 5: Other Business or Announcements Steinkraus mentioned that staff should consider planting Milkweed to help the Monarch Butterfly population. He also encouraged the city to sign a Monarch Pledge. 6. Adjourn
