HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986-08-21 - Minutes• • • MINUTES OF THE SUBDIVISION COMMITTEE OF THE FAYETTEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION A meeting of the Subdivision Committee of the Fayetteville Planning Commission was held on Thursday August 21, 1986 at 4:00 P.M. in Room 111 of the City Administration Building, 113 W. Mountain Street, Fayetteville, Arkansas. MEMBERS PRESENT: Ernie Jacks, Sue Madison, Stan Green and B.J. Dow MEMBERS ABSENT: None ELKHART PRODUCTS CORP. - LSD 3265 HIGHWAY 71 SOUTH - ERVAN WINBLERLY The only item of consideration was the Large Seale Development for Elkhart Products Corporation (EPC) for a Tube Mill addition, located at 3265 Highway 71 South. This property is zoned I-1, Light Industrial, Heavy Commercial. This LDS was submitted by Elkhart Products Corporation and represented by Ervan Wimberly of Northwest Engineers and Michael Crider EPC Plant Manager Jacks advised screening would be required on the North side of this property and Wimberly stated the property to the North had been purchased by EPC today and Carlisle asked how large the parcel was they had purchased to the North and Wimberly stated 5.76 acres. Madison stated the existing parcel that was purchased was R-1 and regardless of who owned it the screening would be required. Green stated there should be something they could work out for the screening requirement because it would be silly to sereen themselves from themselves. Dow stated there is natural sereening on the North side of this property. Jacks asked if proof of notifieation had been submitted and Carlisle stated it was in last nights newspaper. Jacks then said screening would be the only requirement and they could ask for a waiver of 10% landscaping for which is already in existanee. MOTION Madison moved to approve the LSD for EPC and reeommended a Bill of Assurance for a sidewalk along Highway 71 South and further recommended a waiver of the screening requirement on the North with the substition of 10% landscaping which is present. Dow seconded and, upon roll Ball, the motion passed 4 0-0. 11�
