HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986-02-06 - Minutes• • • MINUTES OF A SUBDIVISION COMMITTEE MEETING A meeting of the Fayetteville Subdivision Committee was held on Thursday, February 6, 1986 at 4:00 P.M. in Room 111 of the City Administration Building, 113 West Mountain Street, Fayetteville, Arkansas. MEMBERS PRESENT: Ernie Jacks, Stan Green and Sue Madison MEMBERS ABSENT: None QUALITY INN - KEN COCKRAM LSD - HWY. 112 & BY-PASS The first item of consideration was the large scale development plan submitted by Ken Cockram for Quality Inn Motel located at the southeast corner of the Highway 112 and by-pass intersection. Property consists of 6.879 acres and is zoned C-2, Thoroughfare Commercial. Jacks inquired into a request that sidewalk along Highway 112 be continued to the north border of the property and Cockram replied it will be. Madison inquired into the notification of adjoining property owners and Cockram said he was not aware of this requirement but would take care of it by the Planning Commission meeting, February 10, 1986. Madison expressed concern regarding the single access being provided for the 70 -unit development and Cockram agreed, although he said he saw no alternative at this time. Cockram said he will address another access point when the remainder of this property, to the south, develops. MOTION Green moved approval of this large scale development subject to: 1. notification of adjoining property owners with a different zoning classification. Jacks seconded and the motion to approve passed 2-1-0, Madison voting "nay" DUNCAN'S LIQUOR STORE - WEDINGTON & BY-PASS The second item of consideration was the large scale development plan submitted by Len Edens for Duncan's Liquor Store located on Wedington Drive at the by-pass. Property is 1/2 acre and is zoned C-2. MOTION Madison moved approval; seconded by Green, the motion passed 3-0-0. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 4:30 P.M.
