A MEETING OF THE SUBDIVISION COMMITTEE
OF THE FAYETTEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION
A meeting of the Subdivision Committee of the Fayetteville Planning
Commission was held on Thursday, October 10, 1985 at 4:00 P.M. in
Room 111 of the City Administration Building, 113 West Mountain Street,
Fayetteville, Arkansas.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Ernie Jacks, Sue Madison, Stan Green and Joe Tarvin

OAKSHIRE LSD REVISIONS
EAST OAKS DRIVE AT KANTZ DRIVE
The only item of consideration today was the proposed revisions of
Oakshire large scale development located on East Oaks Drive at Kantz
Drive and represented by Steve DeNoon of Lindsey and Associates, Inc.
Chairman Jacks explained that this large scale development plan was
examined by the Subdivision Committee about one year ago subject
to Plat Review comments, some changes in internal drainage plans,
the addition of an additional ingress/egress, and connecting sidewalks
between internal and external walks. He noted that the change DeNoon
is presenting today is the addition of the second exit and, consequently,
the relocation of one building. DeNoon added that the number of units
in one building has been lowered from 12 to 8.
Madison asked why connecting sidewalks were not being planned on and
DeNoon replied that it is not required by ordinance and Jacks pointed
out that they are no longer necessary because of the building relocation.
Committee members expressed concern regarding the drainage plan and
DeNoon replied that the details remain to be worked out but felt that
it would not be a problem. Tarvin commented that the City Board had
passed a resolution that drainage, particularly in hilly terrain,
be examined carefully for solutions that do not allow water to drain
on that property below.
Jones noted that the Greenspace Ordiance has been amended since this
LSD was looked at originally and, consequently, no fee will be required.
She added that the adjoining property owner should be contacted.
MOTION
Tarvin moved approval of Oakshire LSD with the exception of the drainage
plans which must still be addressed. Madison seconded and the motion
to approve passed 4-0-0.
