HomeMy WebLinkAbout1978-09-25 - Minutes• • • MINUTES OF A SUBDIVISION COMMITTEE MEETING A meeting of the Subdivision Committee of the Planning Commission was held on Monday, September 25, 1978, at 4:30 P.M. in the City Administration Building, Fayetteville, Arkansas. MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Ernest Jacks, Bill Kisor, Newton Hailey, Larry Wood. MEMBERS ABSENT: Keith Newhouse. OTHERS PRESENT: Bobbie Jones, Angie Medlock, Bill Drake. Bill Kisor, seconded by Newton Hailey moved that the minutes of the September 5, 1978 Subdivision Committee be approved as mailed. The motion passed unanimously. The first item for consideration was approval of the DIAMOND ACRES preliminary and final plat of Diamond Acres located Preliminary & east of Highway 265 on Valerie Drive and Hillside Final Plat Terrace; Bill W. and Doris Drake developers. Property Hwy. 265 is zoned A-1, Agricultural District. The Subdivision Committee asked City Engineer Don Bunn if the City has the authority to require someone to put in fire hydrants and Mr.Bunn said he would have to check with the City Attorney. Bobbie Jones noted that Hillside Terrace is a gravel street and Valerie Drive was paved recently when Jim Lindsey developed property on the north side of Valerie Drive. Bobbie Jones asked if they have found the 10" gas line and Bill Drake.sai gas company has located the line. Bobbie Jones said if that easement is for the gas company, the telephone company will need a separate easement. Jones said the Planning Commission needs to waive the maximum grade on Hi Terrace and Mr. Jacks said Hillside Terrace is an existing road. Bobbie said they would also need to waive topography. Bill Kisor moved to approve _ the preliminary and final plat wi the gas line easement to be worked out; 2) waive the topography interval; require adjacent property owners signatures; 4) waive the maximum grade; 5) waive other improvements for the street, including paving, sidewalks, lights, curb and gutter.
