A meeting of the Subdivision Committee of the Fayetteville Planning Commission
was held at 4:15 P. M., Monday, August 22, 1977, in the Board of Directors Room,
City Administration Building, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Ernest Jacks, Bill Kisor, Keith Newhouse.
MEMBERS ABSENT: Larry Wood, Jack Ray.
OTHERS PRESENT: Bob Hutson, Joe Segers, Rick Cowdrey, Mr. & Mrs. Jim Stephens.
The first item for consideration was the final plat of
Huntington Place, located northeast of Joe Fred
Starr Road and south of Highway 45 East; Joe
Lynn Lenley and Judy Henley, Robert L. Hutson and
HUNTINGTON PLACE

Robert L. Hutson and Joe Segers were present to represent.
Ernest Jacks said there should be note on the plat that there will be no
permanent structures erected over the 100 foot electric easement on the back of
Lots 10-14. Mr. Hutson said it was his understanding that they could not build
within 50 feet of the line and that the line is not centered in the easement.
The Subdivision Committee requested Bobbie Jones to check with SWEPCO.
Bobbie Jones also noted that they need to put the title in the title block.
Keith Newhouse made a motion to approve the final plat of Huntington Place with
the stipulation that they show on the plat the amount of unbuildable area on
the back of Lots 10-14 for the electric easement.
Bill Kisor seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
The last item for discussion was the approval
of the preliminary plat of Westwood Subdivision
located North of Maple Street and West of Sang
Avenue; S $ J Company, developers.
Rick Cowdrey, and Mr. $ Mrs. Jim Stephens were present to represent.
There was some discussion about improving Maple Street. Mr. Jacks said he
likes the looped street into the subdivision as shown.
Mr. Stephens said they are not using Maple for access and noted
trees are on Maple.
Rick Cowdrey noted that the people on the south side of Maple
of development in the area. Mr. Stephens noted that there is
access off of Maple.
Bill Kisor said he doesn't feel someone should have to pave a

Rick Cowdrey said the developer is planning on improving 660 feet on
of Sang with curb and gutter and storm sewer.
Keith Newhouse made a motion to recommend to the Planning Commission they
approve the preliminary plat of Westwood Subdivision without any improvements to
Maple Street.
Bill Kisor seconded the motion,
