MINUTES OF A SUBDIVISION COMMITTEE MEETING
A meeting of the --Subdivision Committee
was held Tuesday, at 355 P. M. in the
Building, Fayetteville, Arkansas. (May
to the Fayetteville Planning Commission
Board of Directors Room, City Administration,
27, 1975).
MEMBERS PRESENT: Ernest Jacks, Helen Edmiston.
MEMBERS ABSENT: John Power.
OTHERS PRESENT: Bobbie Jones, Janet Bowen.
FAYETTEVILLE PUBLIC SCHOOLS
The only item for discussion was a.proposed Harmon Playfield
concession stand at Harmon Playfield, property of Concession Stand
Fayetteville Public Schools. The district is zoned R-3, and additional setbacks
(over and above the R-3 setbacks and which apply to non-residential uses in an
R- District) need to be varied by the Planning Commission in accordance with
Article 7, Section 14, Zoning Ordinance 1747.
Planning Administrator Bobbie Jones explained that Mr. Bill Parette came
into the Planning Office and told her that he could not meet the required 100 foot
setback because of a sewer problem. She said they needed the setbacks varied
to a 20 or 25 foot setback.
Helen Edmiston asked why they did not rezone the property to a P District
(Institutional);
Mrs. Jones commented that this would take several months.
After some discussion the Subdivision Committee decided to recommend to the
Planning Commission to vary the setbacks as requested.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:00 P. M.
