A meeting of the Subdivision Committee of the Fayetteville Planning Commission
was held Tuesday, January 28, 1975, at 3:35 P. M. in the Board of Directors Room,
City Administration Building, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Ernest Jacks, Helen Edmiston, John Power.
MEMBERS ABSENT: None.
OTHERS PRESENT: Bobbie Jones, Janet Bowen.
SWEETBRIAR ADDITION, BLOCK 1
Planned Unit Development
The only item for discussion was the replat of (19th Green)
Block 1, Sweetbriar Addition (19th Green) and a
Planned Unit Development, submitted by Hyland Park, Inc.
Ernest Jacks noted that there was a 25 foot easement on both sides for
all utilities.
Helen Edmiston wondered why 25 feet on both the east and west had been
asked for. She felt that this was an excessive amount. However, this was
not really a concern of the Planning Commission. She said she would ask
either Jim Lindsey or Engineer Neal Albright about this.
Planning Administrator Bobbie Jones said that both the telephone and electric
were coming up the east and west easements.
Ernest Jacks asked Bobbie Jones why.they were asked to pull back 4 feet
from the east and west property line with the driveway, and she answered
that it was so it would not be used as public access or streets. She
explained that this property was adjacent to the golf course.
There were no problems and the Subdivision Committee was ready to recommend
the approval of the replat of Block 1, Sweetbriar Addition to the
Planning Commission.
The meeting was adjourned at 3:45 P. M.
