ORTHOPAEDIC CLINIC
Drs. Tom P. Coker
The first item for discussion was the Large Scale Coy C. Kaylor
Development Plan of Orthopaedic Clinic to construct a clinic Carl M. Kendrick
at 649 East Township Road, which was tabled from September 10, 1974. Jorge Johnson
This property is zoned R-1 (Low Density Residential District) and the Subdivision
Committee could not take action under this present zoning.
Helen Edmiston asked about the problem with the water pressure in this area.
Bobbie Jones, Planning Administrator, explained that anytime you get above 1480 ft.
elevation there is very unsatisfactory water pressure. She said that the City
Engineer's Office still did not have elevations tied to mean sea level. She also
explained that their plans on this Large Scale Development should have been revised to
show that the necessary requirements would be met after the Plat Review Committee
met on this matter.
The Subdivision Committee was prepared to recommend to the Planning Commission
that this be tabled indefinitely unless the petitioners file an appeal of the denial
of Rezoning Petition R74-13 to the Board of Directors and the Board of Directors sub-
sequently pass an ordinance to rezone the property.
ASBELL SCHOOL
The last item for discussion was the Large Scale Large Scale Development
Development Plan to construct a library at Asbell School.
Mrs. Bobbie Jones, Planning Administrator, said there was a question about the
right-of-way along the street East of Asbell School. On the plat book one end of
the street shows 50 feet of right-of-way while the other end of the street shows only
40 feet of right-of-way and it does not show where it makes the change.
It was decided that the Subdivision Committee recommend to the Planning Commission
that this request be approved providing that 50 feet of right-of-way be obtained for
Lewis Avenue.
There was no further discussion.
Meeting was adjourned at 3:45 P. M.
