HomeMy WebLinkAbout1974-03-26 - MinutesMINUTES OF A SUBDIVISION COMMITTEE /METING A meeting of the Fayetteville Subdivision Committee of the Planning Commission was held March 26, 1974 at 3:30 P.M. in the Directors Room, City Administration Building, Fayetteville, Arkansas. MEMBERS PRESENT: Ernest Jacks, Helen Edmiston. MEMBERS ABSENT: Al Hughes. OTHERS PRESENT: Bobbie Jones, Iris Dees, David McWethy. The first item discussed was the large scale development plan DR. NETTT.FSHIP submitted by Dr. Anderson & Mae Nettleship for a "plant nursery" Johnson Road to be located on the east side of Johnson Road north of Township. LSD Plan This matter had been tabled by the Planning Commission March 12, 1974 for a detailed plot plan. The Committee was prepared to recommend the plan for approval by the Planning Commission with the requests for dedication of 20 ft. of additional right—of—way on Johnson Road and dedication of 60 ft. of right—of—way for a proposed collector street. The next item for discussion was the approval of plans for development LAKE FAYEPPhVILLE of Lake Fayetteville as a park site. Plan Approval The Committee found no problems with this and was prepared to recommend it for approval by the..Planning Commission. The last item discussed was the public hearing on the proposed -_SSD AMENDMENTS '_") amendment to Ordinance 1747 (Appendix A — Zoning, Code of Ordinances, City of Fayetteville, Arkansas) and proposed amendment to Ordinance 1750 (Appendix C— Subdivision Regulations, Code of Ordinances, City of Fayetteville, Arkansas to amend v1� requirements for large scale development plans. The Committee discussed various changes they wanted considered. -s David McWethy presented a list of changes proposed by the City Manager's Office. Ernest Jacks was concerned about deleting the phrase "provision of access" from the definition of a large scale development. He felt one of the City's main concerns has been access driveways. He also suggested omitting the requirement for a drawing to * Scale 1" = 1001. The changes were discussed and the Committee was prepared to present their ideas to the Planning Commission. • The meeting was adjourned at 4:00 P.M.
