HomeMy WebLinkAbout1973-10-23 - Minutes• J r • J MINUTES OF A SUBDIVISION COMMITinh MEETING The Subdivision Committee of the Fayetteville Planning Commission met at 3:30 P.M., Tuesday, October 23, 1973 in the Office of City Planning, City Administration Building, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Members Present: Helen Edmiston, Ernest Jacks, Al Hughes. Others Present: David Mewethy, Bobbie Jones, Iris Dees. The Subdivision Committee reviewed the proposed Final Plat of HYLAND PARK Hyland Park, Phase I, submitted by Hyland Park, Inc., James E. Final Plat Lindsey, President. The Committee studied the proposed Final Plat and everything being complete, the Committee was_prepared'to recommend.the�`, plat for approval by the Planning Commission. The next matter reviewed was the proposed Final Plat of JOHNSON ROAD SUBDIVISION Johnson Road Subdivision, submitted by Kelley Brothers FINAL Plat Lumber & Supply Company, Inc., J.B. Phelps, President. Mr. Hughes expressed concern over the fact that there were streets about every 200 feet showing on the plat. Bobbie Joiies=called the Committeets attention to the fact that the plat showed 60 feet of right-of-way and the Major Street Plan requires 80 feet for a minor arterial. At the time the Preliminary Plat was approved, the Major Street Plan called for an expressway 100 feet in width and the Planning Office was interpreting this to be 50 feet on both sides of the railroad track. Bobbie Jones said she believed construction was well under way. The Committee decided to take up this matter at the Planning Commission Meeting before the plat could be approved.
