HomeMy WebLinkAbout1973-07-10 - MinutesMINUTES OF A SUBDIVISION COMMITTEE MEETING The Subdivision Committee of the Fayetteville Planning Commission met at 3:15 P.M., Tuesday, July 10, 1973, in the Office of City Planning, City Administration Building, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Members Present: Al Hughes, Ernest Jacks, Helen Edmiston. Members Absent: None. Others Present: Bobbie Jones. Chairman Ernest Jacks led the discussion and review of matters scheduled to be acted upon by the Planning Commission. Gerald & Marie Cates have proposed a large scale development plan GERALD & MARIE CATES on the Northwest corner of Old Farmington Road and Highway 62 West. Highway 62 West The Planning Commission had continued the matter from the previous L.S.Development meeting in order to review the recommendations of the Board Street Committee on land use and service roads for Highway 62. Mr. Hughes said the only thing he saw on the Cates property which was contrary to what the concensus was was the depth of the commercial zoning. Mr. Jacks said he would lead the discussion of the Subdivision Committee's SIDEWALKS & recommendations on sidewalks and street lighting. STREET LIGHTS Bobbie Jones said that Wells Bone had requested that Azalea Terrace be deferred until July 24. • A final plat of Bishop Addition, Unit 1, had been submitted by Wade BISHOP ADD, UNIT 1 Bishop. The recommendations of the Plat Review Committee was studied. Final Plat It will be necessary for the Planning Commission to vary the length of the dead-end street until such time as the proposed street across the South of the subdivision is constructed. The Committee indicated its intentions of recommending approval of the plat on condition they conform to all the things the City wants. The meeting was adjourned at 3:50 P.M. G51
