The Subdivision Committee of the Fayetteville Planning Commission met at 3:00
P.M., Tuesday, June 26, 1973, in the Office of City Planning, City Administration
Building, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Members Present: Ernest Jacks, Helen Edmiston.
Members Absent: Al Hughes.
Others Present: Bobbie Jones.
The Chairman, Ernest Jacks, called the meeting to order.
The Committee reviewed the three items for consideration on the Planning
Commission agenda for 4:00 P.M., June 26, 1973. The Committee studied the
comments of the Plat Review Committee on the proposed Final Plat of a
Replat of a Part of Lot 2, Block 6, and all of Lot 3, Block 7, Meadowlark
Addition submitted by Edward Hancock and Harrison Davis. Clayton Powell
had referred to his remarks at the time the Preliminary Plat was submitted
and the utility companies had requested the easement between Lots 1 and 2,
Block 7 be widened.

A large scale development plan had been submitted by Rev. Ed Salmon for
property on West Maple. Bobbie Jones explained the original parcel acquired, REV. ED SALMON
and the one subdivision waiver granted by the Planning Office as well as 16— W. Maple
the proposed use of the balance of the property as related by Rev. Salmon. L.S.Development
Clayton Powell had requested the dedication of and improvement of Maple
all the way to the West property line, and the dedication of the 50 ft.
utility easement along the West property line as a street dedication.
There was a disagreement between Paul Mattke, City Engineer, and Rev.
Salmon as to whether or not the parcel Rev. Salmon is building on could
be serviced by public sewer.
A large scale development plan had been submitted by Gerald & Marie Cates
for property located at the Northwest corner of the intersection of
Highway 62 West and Old Farmington Road. The telephone company requested
a 15 ft. easement to cover their existing cable. Clayton Powell had asked
that action on this plan be deferred until the question of access roads along
Highway 62 West is resolved. Paul Mattke requested an easement to cover the
future sewer line to be brought through here from Farmington.
The meeting was adjourned at 3:40 P.M.
