Members Present: Helen Edmiston, John Maguire, Harold Lieberenz, Members Absent: Ernest Jacks, The purpose of this meeting was to consider additional developments on properties presently developed but larger than one acre in size. The first item considered was a request by Mr. Dan Capstick to use the property on the SW corner of North College and Longview Street DAN CAPSTICK for a car sales lot. The property is zoned commercial, is larger 3271 N. College than one acre, and :•has never been used for this type use previously, Harold Lieberenz had inspected the premises with Mr. Capstick, and had a drawing illustrating the area to be paved for parking, the size and location of the proposed sign, and the location of present buildings on the property. No new buildings are proposed, Both Mrs. Edmiston and Mr. Maguire felt there was nothing wrong with the proposal and did not see any necessity for taking the matter to the full Planning Commission for review. The Subdivision Committee granted approval to the plans, The next item of business was a proposed car wash on property on North Leverett Street owned by Carl Tune. The applicant, Larry LARRY BAGGETT CAR WASH • Baggett, proposes to lease the property for the car wash from (Carl Tune property) Mr. Tune. The Committee reviewed the location of other buildings 1320 North Leverett on the property in relation to the location of the proposed building and the balance of Mr. Tune's property. Harold Lieberenz said the question'before the Committee is whether this needs to be reviewed by the full Commission or can the Subdivision Committee approve the issuance of a permit. The Committee did not see any necessity for taking this matter to the Planning Commission and granted approval of the plans. The next item of business was a proposed plot plan submitted by Arkansas Western Gas Company for their new offices. There were no ARK. WESTERN GAS CO. problems on the plan, but because this is basically raw land, the 1001 Sain Street Committee felt this should be brought before the Planning Commission for a quick review and approval, The last item of business was a proposal by Coca-Cola Bottling Company to construct a warehouse to the West of their present facility. The COCA-COLA BOTTLING Subdivision Committee felt the permit could be issued without taking 2445 Johnson Road it to the Planning Commission, but that the fact that this had been done should be reported to the Planning Commission, The meeting was adjourned at 10:25 A:Mi.
