HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-07-20 - MinutesMINUTES OF A SUBDIVISION COMMITTEE MEETING The Subdivision Committee of the Fayetteville Planning Commission met at 3:30 P.M., Tuesday, July 20, 1971, in the Office of City Planning, City Administration Building, Fayetteville, Arkansas, Members Present: L. M. McGoodwin, Ernest Jacks, Helen Edmiston, Harold Lieberenz. Two matters were discussed at this meeting, The first was a Large Scale Development Plan for Phase IV, Chateau Apartments. Mr. Lieberenz explained he had checked the area for this and for the total development in the way of apartments and parking under the present ordinance. It conforms to these regulations. The developers have put up $1,000.00 on future paving of Sycamore Street. Street widening is needed; 10 ft, on Sycamore Street and 10 ft. on Leverett Avenue, Mr. McGoodwin and Helen Edmiston discussed the creek and flooding. The property on both sides floods now. Mr. McGoodwin was concerned that filling the West side would cause more flooding on the East side. He wished to discuss this with the developer. CHATEAU APARTMENTS Phase IV The other matter concerned a conditional use request for Berean Bible Baptist Church. The street dedication and existing contract for BEREAN BIBLE BAPTIST development of the street was discussed with an opinion from David CHURCH - Conditional Malone, City Attorney, The street, known as Burrell Street or Kenray Use • Street, has never been opened. There is an existing building on the property, however. The meeting was adjourned at 3:50 P.M, CI � -'2 1
