HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-06-15 - MinutesMINUTES OF A SUBDIVISION COMMITTEE MEETING • The Subdivison Committee of the Fayetteville Planning Commission met at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 15, 1971, in the Office of City Planning, City Administration Building, Fayetteville, Arkansas, Present: Ernest Jacks, Helen Edmiston, Absent: L. M. McGoodwin (discussed material with later by phone.) There were two matters to be reviewed by the Committee. The first matter discussed was a Large Scale Development submitted by JESS HAWKINS Jess Hawkins for property on Wyman Road, The Committee reviewed the L.S.Develooment findings of the Plat Review Committee and concurred. There were no additional recommendations made. The second matter discussed was an appeal for a conditional use of a nursery school on South School south of Cato Springs Road and in the R-1 District, The Committee reviewed the requirements for nursery GORDON WILKINS schools. They expressed reservations about the proposed circular drive Conditional Use on a 50 ft. wide lot, and also about related traffic problems. From Nursery School this standpoint, they questioned the location. They were in favor of the requirement for screening. They wanted Mr. McGoodwin's opinion on the drive. • The meeting was adjourned at 11:35 A.M. (Mr. McGoodwin called in the afternoon. The matter of the circular driveway was discussed with him. He felt it would be very difficult to have a circular drive on a 50 ft. wide lot. He said,"it might be possible, but it would have to be proven to him.",) CI
