MINUTES OF A SUBDIVISION COMMITTEE FETING
The Subdivision Committee of the Fayetteville Planning Commission met
at 3:30 P.M., Tuesday, January 19, 1971, in the Office of City Planning,
City Administration Building, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Present: Harold Lieberenz, Roy Clinton, Helen Edmiston.
Absent: Ernest Jacks.
A question had been raised concerning the proposed final plat
of Cummings -Goff Subdivision. It would be necessary to check with
the gas company to see if they would need to use some East-West
easements. These are designed for drainage and if the gas
company needs easements, more must be shown. Also, along Highway
No. 45 should 10 ft. be dedicated to satisfy the Major Street Plan
or should the setback be increased to allow for the 10 ft.
The Committee decided to recommend the Planning Commission delay
action on this until someone could check with the gas company and
David Malone, City Attorney. If it is legal and the City can
require platting, the ROW should be dedicated; if it is not legal,
the setback should be increased to 35 ft.
CUMMINGS-GOFF SUBD.
The other item before the Subdivision Committee was the proposed
preliminary plat of Bois d'arc Hill. The Plat Review Committee
had made some recommendations. The Subdivision Committee decided to BOIS d'arc HILL
recommend approval of the preliminary plat with the following
provisions:
1. Osage Lane be continued on to the East boundary of the
Subdivision with the turn around radius to revert back
to adjoining lots when extended.
2. Ilater line increased to 8" to provide fire protection,
add some fire hydrants and valves not covered in design.
3. Carriers for water and ewer lines going under the By-pass
must be large enough to accomodate 12" pipes later when it
becomes necessary to replace 8" and 61, lines.
