The Subdivision Committee of the Fayetteville Planning Commission
• met at 3:30 P.M., Tuesday, June 16, 1970, in the Directors Room
of the City Administration Building, Fayetteville, Arkansas,
Present: Ernest Jacks, Roy Clinton, Harold Lieberenz.
The first item before the Committee was the preliminary plat
of the Sun Valley Addition, The Committee studied the plat
and information on file and decided to recommend approval of
this plat to the Planning Commission and also to approve the
35 foot radius on the cul-de-sac.
The next item before the Committee was the plans for the
Villa Mobile Home Park located North of Township Road and
West of Highway 71 North. The access road leading into
the park was discussed. The City Engineer has recommended
approval subject to minor engineering details. The developer
contends the lighting required by ordinance is too bright.
The Committee decided to recommend approval of the plans
subject to working out minor engineering details with the
City Engineer except for the lighting. The Committee wishes
to check into this further.

VILLA MOBIIE HOME PARK
The University of Arkansas has filed a petition to close
an East-West alley hying between Lots 1-15, arra Lots 16 and 27 UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS
in Block 1, J. H. McIlroy's University Subdivision. This alley Alley Closing
• is located South of Dickson Street and between Ozark Avenue and
Buchanan Avenue. A11 the utility companies approve this
closing, however, the City Water and Sewer Department desires to
retain an easement for sewer lines located therein. The Committee
decided to recommend approval.
The Farm Service Cooperative and the Estate of Nora B. Adams have
filed a petitionto close a portion of Seventh Street lying
between Lot 15, Block 14, and Lot 1, Block 15, Ferguson's FARM SERVICE COOPERATIVE
Addition. Two easements are proposed to be reserved. The Closing of Seventh Street
Committee decided to recommend approval subject to the reservation
of these two easements.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:00 P.M.
