The Subdivision Committee of the Planning Commission met at 4:00 p.m.,
Monday, August 30, 1965, in the City Council Room in the City
Administration Building.
PRESENT: Suzanne Lighton, Chairman
Bryan Walker
J. A. Vizzier, Planning Consultant
The meeting was called for the purpose of discussing four preliminary
subdivision plats and one informal plat.
The first plat discussed was the preliminary subdivision plat filed by
Bobby Thomas. The subdivision, SKY VIEW ACRES, is located on the south
side of Deane Street and is located within the City limits.
After discussion, the Committee was prepared to recommend to the City
Planning Commission that the preliminary subdivision plat of SKY VIEW
ACRES be accepted provided that:
1. Street right of way be dedicated to the south property line;
2. The vehicular turn -around be centered in the street right of
way with the setbacks for building to be taken from the street
right of way; and
3. Signatures of adjacent property owners be obtained on the
• preliminary plat so that the Planning Commission will have
evidence that the adjacent property owners have seen the plat.
The next preliminary subdivision plat considered was that filed by
Ray England and Ernest Staaberry, Jr. The subdivision, REPLAT OF LOTS
20 and 21 OF GREEN ACRES ADDITION, is located on the south side of Elm
Street.
After discussion the Subdivision Committee recommended approval of the
preliminary subdivision plat of REPLAT OF LOTS 20 and 21 OF GREEN ACRES
ADDITION subject to the following:
1. Setbacks for building be shown from the street right of way
and not from the right of way of the vehicular turn -around.
2* Signatures of adjacent property owners be obtained on the
preliminar7 plat so that the Planning Commission

After discussion the Committee s• to recommend acceptance of
SMYTH ADDITION subject to compliance with the following items:
1. Name of subdivisionchanged I SMYTH ADDITION;
2* The vehicular turn -around at the end of Lover's Lane be

3* An additional 20 foot easement be provided on the north end
